Who We Are

As the subheading on this page indicates, SuburbanHOA.com designs and maintains websites and iPhone apps for homeowners associations and small businesses.

The contact person is Tom Engleman, who has more than 50 years of journalistic writing and editing experience and has been producing websites for more than 20 years.

As needed, he will employ artists and other professionals to assist with the development of websites. Credit for the logo and background on this page belong to zeroweb.org, a source of free website templates and graphics*.

Tom now lives in a 55-and-older community, where he has been an officer of the homeowners association and serves as its webmaster. Also, he has developed and maintained websites for an online news service, a college journalism school, a small business, two foundations an apartment complex and a homeowners association.

During the decade before he retired, he was employed by Dow Jones and Company and the New Jersey Press Association.

He has a master's degree in journalism from the University of  South Carolina and bachelor's degree in English and education from Emory & Henry College (Virginia). He was a full-time copy editor for The State, the morning daily in Columbia, S.C., while he attended graduate school.
